The Somalia Investor – Issue#6
$5.00
Somalia has the longest coastline in Africa. At the same time, its waters are rich in seafood –
the whole range of it. It was no wonder then that for the two decades the country remained
in civil conflict and had no formal government in place, fishing vessels from different parts of the world easily encroached into the area and made it a favourite fishing spot.
Today, however, Somalia has a government in place, and key among its responsibilities is to entrench the regained stability and put the country on a sustainable growth path. To achieve these effectively, the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) must secure the country’s resources, and do so with well-aimed
swiftness.
