President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, attended Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Isbahaysiga Islam Mosque in Mogadishu, along with thousands of Somali citizens, government officials, and religious leaders.
During the prayers, President Mohamud congratulated all Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among the Somali people. He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts made to provide assistance to the needy, promote brotherhood, and preserve human dignity during the holy month of Ramadan.
In addition, the President took the opportunity to commend the security forces, particularly the army, and police, for their efforts to maintain peace and stability in the country during the holy month. He emphasized the need for continued efforts to enhance security and promote development in the country.
Finally, President Mohamud reiterated his commitment to ensuring that all Somalis are able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in peace and that the country continues to progress toward prosperity, security, and well-being. He prayed that Allah bestows peace, prosperity, and stability upon Somalia and its people.
